FAQ

How do you define the ROI for online video?

(Thanks to Mark Portu of The FeedRoom whose insights are encapsulated below.)
The economic downturn has intensified interest in online video not because of a direct return on the investment but because of the value that comes through making video central to more extensive business solutions for marketing, e-commerce, global corporate communications and a host of other applications.

The ROI metrics themselves will tend to align directly with an organization’s specific business priorities. Sales will prioritize revenue generation, Marketing and PR will focus on global reach and executives may focus on productivity gains for example.

What should I expect my project to cost?

There is a huge range within which a project can fall. The entry point for a simple one minute landing page video is $950. Beyond that there are many, many variables that will affect the bottom line.

Why can’t I just shoot it myself with a flip cam?

You can. But don’t forget that the medium is the message.
Your video is a window into whatever it is that you do. Amateur video looks that way.

How much work will this project be for me? How involved do I need to be in the process?

At a minimum, we will have to have an open line of communication with you so that we understand your messaging, your audience and your goals.

Beyond that, you can be as hands off or involved as time allows. A lot of our clients become more involved than they ever expected to be because they discover in the process that filmmaking is fun.

Once my project is finished, how do get it onto the internet?

Once your project is finished there are a number of options available.
If you have a webmaster you’re actively involved with, we will hand over video files prepared according to his or her specifications. They will be posted to your site, and any other sharing platforms you choose.
If you’d prefer one stop shopping, we’ll install the video for you, host it on our server and distribute it. We’ll even help you generate a video site map, which makes your video visible to the major search engines. See our PRODUCTS AND SERVICES page for more information.

How can I get the most bang for my buck?

Once you’ve decided to move ahead, we’ll help you think your project through.
You’ve got a professional video crew hired for the day. (Or longer.) Think of your current and future needs. Get it in the can while you have the opportunity. Video content is often referred to as “assets” for a reason.

Think of ways you can repurpose your content.
(See question below.)

What do you mean by repurposing content?

By “repurposing” we mean using the same video “assets” for different applications.
Did you produce a video for your landing page? Why not reuse your assets to create roll-in advertising or even a cable TV spot?
You get it!
